I've been watching the Asian Games recently. And I found Kazakhstan very interesting as it's fourth in ranking behind China, Japan and South Korea. I was wondering how did this coutry that is so unheard of is so powerful. The first time I heard of the coutry's name was when Borat appeared on the Europe video music awards. Borat claimed he was from Kazakhstan and that was how I know the country. He talks of Kazakhstan as if it was a small country with weird traditions. So when I saw Kazakhstan coming in fourth place I was rather puzzled. I was thinking if Kazakhstan is so powerful and "small", why Singapore could not do it too. I was so curious I decided to look up on info on KAZAKHSTAN. I found out the coutry is rather big and they have around 15 million people, so I figured that they had a larger talent pool to choose from so of course they are better compared to Singapore's 4 million, it's definitely harder to find real talents in that 4 million. But still, I'm still rather amazed by Kazakhstan. China is real good man, I heard their national anthem like dunno how many times and I heard much of Japan's anthem too. Is it illegal to give comments on national anthem? I think I better not.
Watching the asian games made me think a lot. Cos these atheletes especially those racing ones like the swimmers usually practise for years and only to put their years of effort in a test of let's say a few minutes or sometimes even less than a minute. That's like worse than having major examinations.
